Francisco Hernandez Valdes or Pichi was born in Havana. He was the main singer in Elio Reve's band before he joined Dan Den and finally he organized his band under directorship of Reinaldo Crespo. El Bacon del Son is the result of years of playing salsa, Son and Changui with Orquesta de ELio Reve.
