Cintita Celeste

by Nelly Magali Cortez and Mallku de los Andes

Lover's Belt'. In spite of the title being in Spanish, they mix Aymara and Spanish language in the song, but most of it is Aymara. Based on ancient cultures of Peru and Bolivia where the young couple use a wooven belt to flirt before they get to know each other and marry. By wrapping the textile belt between each other they accept a long term bond between each other.
